National Information Processing Institute

National Information Processing Institute is an interdisciplinary scientific institute and a leader in processing information about Polish science. The main task of the institute is to facilitate rapid access to up-to-date and comprehensive information on Polish science - it is here that information on the research and development sector, Polish scientists, scientific projects and research apparatus is collected, analyzed and created. Reports created on the basis of this data have an impact on the formation of Polish science policy. OPI PIB employees create intelligent information systems for the public sector and with commercial applications, conduct numerous research works, analyze the activities of the Polish R&D sector and the world of science more broadly, and study how new media shape society and influence business and how artificial intelligence is developing. OPI PIB is a unit supervised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
